My favorite breakfast to make for Christmas for many years was pancakes. I would make them shaped like snowmen, candy canes, trees, or Santa or flat round balls. The balls are the easiest ones to make, of course.
The blue lights on the hill were beautiful as we drove down Lazy Acres Road on Thanksgiving evening. The Christmas tree farm had been open a few hours already, but cars were still steadily pulling into the drive as families were on their quest for the perfect evergreen.

Roaches are horrible, disgusting creatures. I’m sure they have purpose in the outdoors, helping break down organic material and serving as quick snacks for large spiders, lizards and birds.
