Always trust in God when you find yourself stuckBy KATIE TAYLOR,
Have you ever been in a point in your life where you’re just “stuck”? Like, you have no clue where to go, what to do, and nothing seems like the right choice? I am currently experiencing that myself.
I worked and studied hard to get my degree in psychology, but I have not been able to find a job in that field. I have been to interview after interview and it seems like each rejection letter or email gets harder to deal with.
It makes me wonder if I chose the wrong major, and should I go back to school for something else. That makes a ton of more questions erupt in my mind. I am already an anxious person, and I am just falling deeper into an anxiety pit. Though it is sometimes hard to do, I try to reflect on my step- mother-in-law’s favorite verse; ‘Be still and know that I am God.” In times where we seem stuck and overwhelmed with choices and questions, it is best to just sit still and let The Big Man lay the path out before us. As Ms. Kathy Stephens says, “be still and rest in the Spirit.”
God has the perfect plan laid out for each of us. Instead of making quick decisions that we might regret later, we need to learn patience and trust God with everything.
On the topic of finding a job, the past couple of months, I’ve been working as a circulation assistant at the Union branch library. We are excited to announce that we are going completely fine free! We are the first library system in the state to do so, and we are eager to see how this helps our great community and patrons. We hope this encourages more people to visit the branches in Newton, Decatur, and Union.
The flu bug is still flying around, so continue to pray for all battling it.
I hope everyone has a very blessed week. To share any community news or prayer requests, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
