February was packed with Go Red for Women, Black History events

The month of February is Go Red For Women Heart Month. We hope all the ladies wore some red the whole month.

Prayers go out to our nursing home residents: Nellie Norman and Carolyn Watson at James T. Champion of Meridian; Bobbie J. Clayborn at The Oaks of Meridian; and Mary F. Myers at Hilltop Manor of Union.

“The power of prayer, welcome to Pleasant Grove MB Church of Newton, where the Rev. Michael Pickens is the pastor.” On Sunday, Pastor Pickens’ message was “Warning Three, Part 3: Safeguards Against Falling Away,” taken from Hebrews 6:9-15. Pastor Pickens and the Pleasant Grove Church family invite all to Sunday School each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. The Pleasant Grove Black History Committee are to be commended for a job well done for the month of February.

Pastor Hale and Bro. Brand invite all to the Hickory Devotion each Saturday at 9 a.m. in downtown Hickory.

Larry Fielder, Bernice Bowden, Florine Bowden, Mr. Tommie Nichols, Mother Bonnie Ellis and Barbara Coleman are on the Hickory sick list.

Pastor Anthony Robinson and the St. John MB Church family invite all to Sunday school each Sunday at 9 a.m. and worship at 10:15 a.m. On Sunday, Pastor Robinsons message was “Gods Family and Communities,” taken from Matthew 22:37-39. St. Johns sick list includes Bertha Bender, Frankie L. Evans, Annie Rogers, Xavie Walker and Regina Bender.

All our prayers are with South Florida.
