“The power of prayer, welcome to Pleasant Grove MB Church of Newton, where the Rev. Michael Pickens is the pastor.” On Sunday, Pastor Pickens’ message was “The Danger of Neglecting Salvation: Drifting Away from Salvation,” taken from Hebrews 2:1-4. Pastor Pickens and the Pleasant Grove church family invite all to Sunday school each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m.

Anna M. McKee, Larry Fielder, Bernice Bowden, Florine Bowden, Mother Bonnie Ellis and Barbara Coleman are on the Hickory sick list.

Pastor Anthony Robinson and the St. John Church family welcomes one and all to Sunday school each Sunday at 9 a.m. and worship at 10:15 a.m. Pastor Robinson’s message on Sunday was “No More Mayhem,” taken from Matthew 22:34-40. St. Johns sick list includes Bertha Bender, Frankie Lee Evans, Annie Rogers, Regina Bender and Xavie Walker.

We received a call from of our godchildren, Geff White. We made a lot of friends doing our time in Scott County.

Pastor Larry D. Reed Sr. and the Midway Baptist Church family welcome all to Sunday school each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and worship each first and third Sunday at 11 a.m. On 

Sunday, Pastor Reed’s message was “What we Here For,” taken from Ecclesiastes 12:13-14.

Pastor John T. Evans and the Sunny Hill Church family welcome ones and all to come and share Sunday School each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and worship each first, third and fifth Sunday at 11 a.m. On Sunday, Minister Dewayne Smith was the pulpit guest and his message was “Let Jesus Fix It for You”, taken from St. John 3:16.

Prayers go out to all the bereaved families in the loss of their loved ones.

Pastor Hale and Bro. Brand invites one and all to come and share the Hickory Devotion each Saturday in downtown Hickory.
