Congrats to Vincent for MBC election

During the past week, Clarke-Venable Baptist pastor Mark Vincent was elected to lead the Mississippi Baptist Convention as president.

Vincent has served as Clark-Venable since June 2004. After much prayer and thought, he decided to accept the position if he was nominated and was elected.

Most notably, Union First Baptist pastor Jon Martin seconded the motion to nominate Vincent to the post. In his speech, Martin said, “His investment in the lives of young men, his investment in Christ’s church, his investment in this convention, and his investment in the Kingdom of God — these are the driving passions of Mark Vincent’s heart.”

We appreciate the investment that Vincent has made into Newton County, and we couldn’t think of anyone better to lead the MBC than Vincent.
