Job well done Union band
This past weekend, the Union High School marching band took second place in the Mississippi High School Activities Association state band contest in Clinton.
Union only finished less than a half a point out of first place and won first place in subcategories percussion and visual performance.
Union also finished second in color guard, general effect and musical performance. It was the second straight top 2 finish by Union and one of several by the school who has captured six state 2A titles.
It is amazing the job that has been done by band directors Adam and Katie De Venney. They have set a standard of excellence that inspires their students to perform well not only in music, but in every aspect of their lives. Congratulations to all!
