Last season, the Union Yellowjackets trounced Lake in a non-division game 35-13 on their way to an 7-3 regular season and a berth in the Class 2A playoffs. The shoe was on the other foot on Friday night as the Hornets outgained the Yellowjackets nearly 3 to 1 while spoiling Union’s homecoming in a 34-0 win.

The County Board of Supervisors approved the $11.5 million Fiscal Year budget at their regular meeting on Sept. 5. The county is projected to bring in a total of $11,500, 937 in revenue for the year including $6,319,257 in taxes.
