Enter into 2018 with Christ by your side

I hope everyone had a very blessed Christmas holiday and was able to able to visit with friends and loved ones! I apologize for being absent the past couple of weeks, but the flu had finally caught me and had me down. My prayers go out to everyone dealing with the flu and strep during this time because I know it is some terrible stuff!

As 2018 approaches, many are hoping for a better year than 2017 and are striving to make changes for the better. Instead of going into the new year with doubts and worry, we need to go in hopeful and joyful.

As long as we go into the year with Christ, 2018 will turn out great! This is not to say that we won’t have struggles and griefs throughout the year, but it is a blessing to know that no matter what2018 brings, everything is gong to be okay because Christ is with us!

Along with praying for all those fighting illnesses, a special prayer request goes out to Tommy Walters and his wife, Sherry. They have spent weeks in the hospital as Tommy has been undergoing chemo. Please pray he wins this battle, and that they are able to go back home soon.

I hope everyone has a very happy and safe New Year’s Day and may it be filled with turnip greens and cornbread!
