We all must learn patience on our ownBy KATIE TAYLOR,
Since we moved into our house in August, Brad and I have been on the search for a washer and dryer. We’ve came across a few deals, but they ended up being flukes.
But every load of laundry turns out to be an extra visit with our parents while we borrow their washing machine, so we can’t really complain. This weekend, we finally came across and great deal for a washing machine. We were so excited to finally wash our laundry in our own laundry room!
However, it’s a type of machine that neither of us really know how to work because it’s a newer model. We tried Googling a user manual and everything. It just takes forever to wash a load of laundry, but it’s better than what we had!
It’s just going to help us develop some patience, which could be a gift from above. Patience and waiting on the Lord is something we both struggle with, and I’m sure we’re not the only ones.
As the old saying goes: when we ask God for wisdom, He’s not going to give us wisdom but rather a chance to be wise. It’s the same concept with patience. He’s not just going to hand us a load of patience, but an opportunity to be patient.
“But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31.”
Be in prayer for all the ones returning back to school this week. Pray they have the “patience” to hang in there just a few more weeks! I hope everyone has a blessed week!
