Wesley Chapel to celebrate its 112-year anniversary on Sunday

Prayers are extended to all the sick and shut ins. Our list includes Sammie Curry, Samual Hillie, Oliver J. Hillie, Charles Johnson, Nita F. Hughes, Tyyonna McCalphia, Marsha McMillian, James C. Johnson, Frank Norman Jr., Donna Burton, Ralph Jordan, Rev. R.D. Evans, Marie Evans, Ronald D. Watkins, Essie L. Robinson, Bertie L. Our prayers go out to our nursing home residents: Nellie Norman and Carolyn Watson at James T. Champion of Meridian, Bobbie J. Clayborn at the Oaks of Meridian, and Mary F. Myres at Hilltop Manor of Union.

"The power of prayer," welcome to Pleasant Grove MB Church where the Rev. Michael Pickens is the pastor. On Sunday, Pastor Pickens' message was "Warning Four: The Danger of Apostasy, of drawing from Christ" Hebrews 10:26-31. The Pleasant Grove Brotherhood will be having an informational Health Fair featuring guest speakers on Saturday, March 24 from 9-11 a.m. Pastor Pickens and the Pleasant Grove Church family welcome all to Sunday school each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. worship at 11 a.m. Pleasant Grove is located at 202 N. Pilate Avenue, Newton.

Larry Fielder, Bernice Bowden, Florine Bowden, Mr. Tommie Nichols Jr., Mother Bonnie Ellis and Barbara Coleman are on the Hickory sick list.

Pastor Hale and Bro. Brand welcome all to the Hickory Devotion each Saturday at 9 a.m. in downtown Hickory.

Pastor Anthony Robinson and the St. John MB Church family welcome you and yours to Sunday school each Sunday at 9 a.m. with worship at 10:15 a.m. The St. John sick list includes Bertha Bender, Frankie L. Evans, Annie Rogers, Xavie Walker and Reginia Bender.

All our prayers are with our neighbors there and abroad, prayer is the answer.

Don't forget to make a call or send a card to a sick or shut in. Our house guest on last week was Ms. Katrina Tingle, and she and I had a reunion of sorts. As we always say we are happy to have our young ones stop and tell us she read our article every week. Thanks Ms. Tingle for the read.
