Services for Caroline Barrett were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union. Burial will be held in the Union City Cemetery. Father Darnas will be officiating.
Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Milling Funeral Home of Union.
Caroline (Sis) Finley Barrett, 85, of Union, born on Jan. 24, 1933 in Cleveland, Miss., passed away Friday, July 27, 2018, at her home in Union surrounded by her family.
Caroline lovingly raised six children among her cherished in laws and their children while working and then returning from the State of Illinois. She was a member and former president of the 4th Degree Women’s Auxiliary. She worked at the Midland Shirt Factory for a short time and cherished her retirement in Union with her mother, brothers and sisters.
Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac A. and Pauline Finley; her husband, James C. Barrett Sr.; a son, David T. Barrett; and a brother, Isaac A Finley Jr.
Caroline is survived by three daughters, Julia Campbell (Dolan) from Tacoma, Wash., Mary Shaw (Terry) of Union and Christine Wheaton of Peoria, Ill.; two sons, James C. Barrett Jr. and John M. Barrett, both of Bay St. Louis.; a sister, Maxine Lott of Union; two brothers, Henry Finley of Union and Russell Finley (Sylvia) of Oxford; four grandsons; four granddaughters; 13 great grandchildren; and 33 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Wheaton Jr., William Wheaton, Tyson Arthur, Mike Smith, Brent Smith and Russell Finley.
Milling Funeral Home of Union was in charge of the arrangements.
