Samuel Feldman, 96, of Newton died Sunday, July 29, 2018, at his home in Newton. He was born Sept. 5, 1921.
Visitation was held from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018, with funeral services to follow at Newton County Funeral Home-North. Burial was in Newton County Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Mr. Feldman was a veteran of WWII. After he came home from the war, he made what he called the best decision of his life when he married Sylvia. He and the love of his life traveled the world over together. He took pleasure in helping others less fortunate. He was a local businessman in Newton for many years and served as president of both the Newton Rotary Club and the Newton Chamber of Commerce. In his later years he enjoyed fellowship on his patio with friends and neighbors. “YOLO”
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia B. Feldman.
Survivors include two sons, David (Becky) Feldman and Lee (Jan) Feldman; a daughter, Pamela Smith; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chad Feldman, Laurence Davis, Justin Arnold, Bob Smith, Ryan Weaver, Brett Feldman, Blake Feldman, Benjamin Williams, Sam Davis, and Jace Weaver.
