Services for Yvette Smith Woodard were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with burial in the Golden Grove Cemetery. Bros. Danny Chaney Bro. Rusty Walton officiated.
Visitation was held one hour prior to service on Thursday at Milling Funeral Home of Union.
Ms. Woodard, 84, of Newton died Monday, April 16, 2018, at Rush Hospital.
She was a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church where she served as pianist and treasurer.
Survivors include a daughter, Melody Woodard of Union; three sisters, Helen Livingston and her husband, Marzell, of Union, Beth Byrd and her husband, Dr. Leonard, of Meridian and Judy Spivey and her husband, Tommy, of Meridian; one brother, Perry Willis Smith and his wife, Ruby, of Byram.
Ms. Woodard was preceded in death by her parents, O.F. "Buck" and Bertha Smith; and her husband, Carl M. Woodard.
Pallbearers were Billy Nicholson, Jerry Nicholson, Richard Rivers, Jody Chaney, Hayes McMahan and Robert Smith.
Milling Funeral Home of Union was in charge of the arrangements.
